Conveyancing Executive

Job description

This position is for our Corby Office at 1 Alexandra Road, Corby, Northants NN17 1PE. Good knowledge of the Conveyancing procedure is essential, as is experience of working in a customer-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and positive attitude.

The Role

The role will involve working in our Conveyancing Department as part of a team which is headed up by Gemma McKimmie. The candidate we require is someone who has experience of working in a fast paced and busy office environment, who already has the ability and track record of running their own case load in residential property Sales and Purchase, Re-mortgage and Right to Buy. Part of the role will be to meet and greet clients and agents/brokers in a professional manner, answering and making calls and be able to set up a good rapport with Estate Agents, Brokers as part of the team’s ongoing marketing strategy.

Skills Required:

The successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and be able to carry out conveyancing procedures unsupervised from start to finish and have the knowledge across all fields. The role will also involve a wide range of general administration duties and excellent typing skills are crucial. The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines is essential. The ideal candidate will be numerate and articulate, with GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English and Maths, have a professional telephone manner with smart appearance, be a confident communicator and have good organisation and planning skills.

We require the candidate to be confident in using the internet, email, Word and Excel. Full training will be given in relation to our software system.

Legal Secretary – Conveyancing

Job description

Experience of working in a customer-driven environment is an essential requirement of this role together with a friendly and positive attitude.

We are only looking to receive applications from candidates who can prove a good knowledge of the Conveyancing procedure and who come from a conveyancing background.

The role will involve working in our Conveyancing Department dealing with all matters relating to property Sales and Purchase, Re-mortgage and Right to buy so a good knowledge of the conveyancing procedure is required. Part of your role will also be to meet and greet clients/visitors in a professional manner, answering and making calls, taking and relaying messages to your Fee Earner including:

  • Co-ordinating and preparing the incoming and outgoing post
  • Maintaining and updating fee earner diaries
  • Making appointments
  • Opening and closing/archiving files
  • Use of our Case Management System (full training will be given)

Skills Required:

The successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and carry out a wide range of general administration duties and must have excellent typing skills. The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines given is essential. The ideal candidate will be numerate and articulate, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
